The Senate was established to foster a spirit of unity, pride, and cooperation among staff members by recognizing the leadership role staff plays in the daily work of the University. The Senate serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor and Human Resource Director on issues and concerns that are important to staff and supports the University mission.
The Senate serves to facilitate communication among all employees and University administrators concerning general University employment interests and concerns while encouraging the development to constructive suggestions.
The Staff Senate meets the fourth Wednesday of each month in 1227 UC from 9-11a.m. Staff Senate meetings are open to all University staff, and staff members are encouraged to attend.
