The Department of Public Safety and Environmental Health, in general, does not recommend that buildings be evacuated as a result of bomb threats. This however does not preclude evacuation under certain circumstances. Factors to be considered in a decision to evacuate include, but are not limited to, the following:
∑ Specific location within the building
∑ Any specific description of the device
∑ National and Local scene
∑ Personal vendetta
IMPORTANT: Call 9-1-1 immediately after receiving a bomb threat, complete the requested information in as much detail as possible, and provide this form to the police.
