Meeting of Minds

Undergraduate researchers shared their scholarship with other students and faculty at the 23rd annual Meeting of Minds undergraduate research conference. This year, over 100 oral and poster presentations were made May 15, 2015 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

The research represented diverse scholarship and collaborations with faculty from a wide range of academic disciplines. Each presentation stemmed from regular coursework or independent studies.

  • A video of the lunchtime presentation by CASL alumnus Steven Hernandez ('04, B.A.) will be posted soon.

Meeting of Minds emulates a professional academic conference with student presenters from Oakland University, the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the University of Michigan-Flint. The experience is particularly rewarding for students who plan on pursuing graduate work.

Participating students also had the opportunity to publish their papers in the online "Meeting of Minds Journal of Undergraduate Research."  The 2015 edition can be found by clicking here.

The University of Michigan-Flint will host the 2016 Meeting of Minds event.  More information will be posted regarding the conference in the fall.
