The Office of Metropolitan Impact provides engagement support to faculty, students and community partners through a variety of ways. OMI conducts a biennial inventory of engagement activity across campus, hosts and sponsors a variety community-based events, awards community-based research and engagement grants for faculty as well as participate in and complete a variety of other activities that support mutually beneficial community and campus engagement activities.

2014 CONCERT OF COLORS ` METRO DETROIT’S DIVERSITY FESTIVAL
For the last three years UM-Dearborn, the University of Michigan Detroit Center, and the OMI have supported and helped staff this wonderful multicultural musical event in Midtown Detroit.
This year’s concert will be held July 10th through the 13th. There will also be a tune-up show on Saturday, July 5th. Currently OMI is working to help plan and recruit volunteers for the Concert of Colors. If you are interested in attending, volunteering or learning more about the festival click here.
