Nominations due August 22.

Event Item

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Alumni Affiliate is accepting nominations for 2016-17 Governing Board positions.  The Alumni Affiliate is governed by a 16 to 20-member board comprised of no less than nine and no more than 12 elected and seven to eight appointed members. The appointed members represent each of the College’s eight academic units: Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences; Language, Culture & Communication; Literature, Philosophy & the Arts; Natural Sciences, and Mathematics & Statistics; College-wide Programs; and Graduate Programs. Elected members serve staggered three-year terms.

The Affiliate is very active in recruitment, advising, assisting when possible with co-op and internship placements, and with scholarship support.  Meetings are held bi-monthly, and the Board is looking for CASL alums who are willing to spend about 4-6 hours per semester on Affiliate activities. (They are serious about their work, but always have fun.)  More information can be found on the Affiliate's webpage.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or another CASL alum to serve on the Governing Board, please fill out the Nomination Questionnaire.  For additional information, please email Susan Gedert.
