About Distance Learning Network
Introduction to DLN

The College of Engineering & Computer Science offers several graduate programs and graduate certificate programs via the Distance Learning Network. To maintain standards of academic excellence, online courses are offered during the same semester as their campus-based counterparts and are taught by the faculty members who instruct the live versions of each course. The convenience of completing a single course or an entire degree program-at home, from the office, or while traveling-by using distance learning technologies, provides unlimited flexibility for students with demanding work or personal schedules.

Online courses are offered via the internet and utilize video with audio, text and graphics. Students learn from instructors who are subject matter experts. Students interact with their instructors and with fellow students synchronously (in real time) and asynchronously (unlimited by time constraints) from personal computers through chatrooms and via threaded discussions.
