The ECE and CIS departments offer, through the Rackham School of Graduate Studies, an evening or on-line program of 30 credit hours, leading to the Master of Science degree in Software Engineering. This degree is designed as an interdisciplinary program between the ECE and CIS departments and is jointly administered.
Students desiring admission to the program must have earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. All courses have access to a wide variety of computing resources: local area networks of 200+ Pentium PC's, Macintosh Labs, Sun Workstation networks and the CAD/CAM robotics labs. NSF and school-funded departmental labs include hypermedia, ATM networking, parallel and distributed systems.
