2016 Engineering and Computer Science Experience for High School Students
The 11th annual Engineering and Computer Science Experience will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, with check-in and opening at the UM-Dearborn Institute for Advanced Vehicle Systems building. Junior and senior level high school students are invited to compete in one of four contests - robotics, programming, game design or simulation - with a chance to win one of the prizes below:

ROBOTICS
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award
Third Place: $1,000 CECS Scholarship or $200 Cash Award

PROGRAMMING
Jedi Division:
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award
Third Place: $1,000 CECS Scholarship or $200 Cash Award

Padawan Division:
First Place: $100 Cash Award
Second Place: $50 Cash Award
Third Place: $25 Cash Award

SIMULATION
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award

GAME DESIGN
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award

Students are required to compete as part of a two-person team, sponsored by a high school teacher or counselor.
