Engineering and Computer Science Experience
and contest for high school students

The tenth annual Engineering and Computer Science Experience was held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in the Institute for Advanced Vehicle Systems building on the UM-Dearborn campus. Over 200 junior- and senior-level high school students competed in one of four contests--robotics, programming, simulation, or game design-- for the following prize:

ROBOTICS
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award
Third Place: $1,000 CECS Scholarship or $200 Cash Award

PROGRAMMING
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award
Third Place: $1,000 CECS Scholarship or $200 Cash Award

SIMULATION
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award

GAME DESIGN
First Place: $2,000 CECS Scholarship or $500 Cash Award
Second Place: $1,500 CECS Scholarship or $350 Cash Award

Students were required to compete as part of a two-person team, sponsored by a high school teacher or counselor. Corporate sponsors for this event included Ford Motor Company, Android, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
