M.A. in Educational Technology (Online)

The Master of Arts in Educational Technology prepares educators to meet the needs of the digital learner.

There is an admissions moratorium on this program effective Fall 2024.  Students are encouraged to apply for the MA in Instructional Design & Learning Technologies instead, which will replace the educational technology program starting in Fall 2024.

The Master of Arts in Educational Technology program is designed for educators, instructional designers, professional trainers and instructors of adult learners interested in developing expertise in the effective use of various forms of educational technology in teaching and learning. The program can be completed fully online and offers professionals advanced knowledge in a broad range of educational technologies. In addition, students will learn how to integrate technology across the curriculum in face-to-face, hybrid and online settings. Individuals who teach in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, private industry and other instructional settings will find this program useful for increasing their overall effectiveness in the field of educational technology and their ability to utilize proven pedagogical practices.

The MA in Educational Technology teaches educators how to effectively use various forms of technology in learning and teaching.

Non-Resident Online Program Tuition Rate

Because this is a fully online program, students who are not classified as residents of Michigan are automatically eligible for the non-resident online program tuition rate.  This rate is approximately 30% below the normal non-resident rate and results in a nearly $1,500 savings for each 3-credit class you take.
