Rick supervises, coordinates, and develops the Center's educational programs for schools and the public. Rick also oversees our student interpreters, activities at the campus Community Organic Garden, and stewardship of the Environmental Study Area.

Dorothy McLeer, Program Coordinator,
Dorothy is involved in community outreach with non-profit organizations, and other environmental and/or educational partner groups. Dorothy also conducts and develops programs interpreting the ecology of southeast Michigan region.

Julie Craves, Supervisor of Avian Research,
Rouge River Bird Observatory
The Rouge River Bird Observatory is the avian research unit of the Environmental Interpretive Center, and focuses on the importance of urban natural areas to birds. Julie is responsible for all bird research, including training and supervision of volunteers and student researchers. She also coordinates and performs special projects such as regional biological inventories.
