Contractors and Vendors

Facilities Operations has agreements with a variety of contractors to support the campus infrastructure and to provide specialty services such as elevator maintenance, chemical treatment, boiler repairs, and labor intensive special contracts.

Daily Sign In/Out Requirements

Contractors, subcontractors, and other related workers must sign in and obtain an identification badge and parking permit at the beginning of each day they work on campus. Contractors return their badges and sign out at the end of each day.

Badges and the sign-in log are located in Facilities Operations in the Campus Support Services ("CSS") building located next to the parking structure.

Contractors who do not sign in and out and turn in a daily worksheet/service report may not be paid for services. Contractors who do not wear a Facilities Operations identification badge on their outer most garments at all times while on campus may be removed from the premises.

Shutdown Request Form

A Shutdown Request Form must be submitted to the Project Manager before any shutdown can occur.

After Hours Contractor Authorization Form

Contractors requiring access to buildings after standard UM-D building hours must submit the Single Event / Short Term Access Form to Campus Police at Public-Safety-Requests@umich.edu.
