Thank you for Giving From Within!
University of Michigan-Dearbornís faculty, staff and retirees have once again made a huge impact on our campus. Over 200 faculty, staff and retirees gave $290,000 to 87 different UM-Dearborn funds of their choice this fiscal year alone. Overall, 436 members of the UM-Dearborn campus community have given more than $2.5 million to the Victors for UM-Dearborn Campaign to date.
Thank you once again for all that you do!
LEARN about where you can give
We have many ways to support our students through scholarships, including the UM-Dearborn Annual Fund Scholarship, Mardigian Library Student Assistant Scholarship or the Forever Grateful Scholarship.
Your gift will help provide scholarship support to our extraordinary student-athletes, improve our equipment and apparel and enhance the facilities we train and compete in. You can also give to specific varsity sports.
UM-Dearborn Opportunity Scholars Program Support
The Opportunity Scholars program is for the highest achieving students from Michiganís most economically disadvantaged high schools. A donation of $350 will sponsor a student to participate in this life-changing experience, and any donation you make will help this trip become a reality for our Scholars.
UM-Dearborn Veterans Scholarship
This fund provides scholarships to a UM-Dearborn student that has championed or improved veterans rights on and off campus.
Seeds of Sustainability
ECO is actively moving UM-Dearborn one step further toward sustainability! Students designed a day-lighting prototype, eliminating most of the need for artificial light in an area with full sun. Your gift will help make this project a reality.
UM-Dearborn Art Gallery Collections and Exhibitions
The University of Michigan-Dearborn Department of Art Collections and Exhibitions preserves, displays, and interprets a treasured art collection that has been acquired by the university over the past four decades.
Your gift will help the Commission for Women at UM-Dearborn take on an active advocacy role in issues of concern to women employees of the campus. The CFW works toward recognizing and promoting women's professional opportunities and toward providing opportunities for women's personal growth.
Help support the Library's highest priorities--enhancing student engagement, deepening academic excellence, fostering creative and critical thinking, and achieving metropolitan impact.

HEAR why others give from within
Barbara Kriigel, Associate Director, User & Technical Services, Berkowitz Gallery, and Systems, Mardigian LibraryAs I look around our campus, I see many outstanding students, projects, and programs. It makes it easy for me to identify groups and initiatives I am interested in supporting. As a librarian in the Mardigian Library, I have had the incredible opportunity to work on several important projects, including the Voice/Vision Holocaust Survivor Oral History Archive, the Juvenile Historical Collection, the Young Authors' Festival, and most recently, the Alfred Berkowitz gallery. The library also established a scholarship to help our awesome library student assistants. It's not hard to find something I believe in and I want to help future generations of students. If you take a look around your area, my guess is that you will also find a project or group worthy of your support. Every little bit helps!
William Emerson III, Ph.D., Veterans Affairs Coordinator
Deborah Kamber, Senior Human Resources Consultant, Human ResourcesI support the Voice/Vision Holocaust Survivor Oral History Archive because I want to help to ensure that Holocaust survivors' voices are heard and always remembered.
Carla Brooks, Head, Library Research Center; Education, Health, and Human Services Librarian
Tim Kiska, Associate Professor
Lavada Smith, Catalog Librarian, Mardigian Library
I just feel that everyone has something to give. Everyone has received help at some point in their life...I probably wouldnít have been able to go here without it.
Iíve had a lot of nurturing and support here, and I see how much giving can impact our students on a daily basis. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
Britta Roan, Senior Career Counselor, Career ServiceI give to the CASL Soar Program because it helps adults who have had their dreams set aside due to difficult obstacles to successfully achieve academic and career goals. I love the SOAR website quote: ďIt's never too late to be what you might have been.Ē -George Eliot
Dawn Roult, Assistant Controller, Financial ServicesWhen I was a undergraduate student, I was a scholarship recipient myself. I was able to persist to my degree with much less financial stress - all because of the generosity of someone that didn't even know me. I give to pay this wonderful gift forward.
SHARE that you gave
We are proud that our campus has been exemplary in employee giving and we hope you are, too. We would love to hear from you about why you choose to give back. Everyone who submits a story has a chance at winning $25 gift certificates to the bookstore!
