Redford Twp. resident Anthony Allegrina received the Alumni Service Award from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in a ceremony this spring.

DEARBORN / July 24, 2009---Redford Twp. resident Anthony Allegrina received the Alumni Service Award from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in a ceremony this spring.
Allegrina earned a bachelorís degree in history at UM-Dearborn in 1982, and a masterís degree in the same field at Wayne State University in 1986. He has been employed at Bodman LLP in Detroit since 1980 where heís held several positions, including computer systems manager before being named director of business development in 1998. As Bodman LLP's first business development professional, he established the marketing department for this 145-attorney law firm. He serves as a member of the firm's Marketing and Long Range Planning committees.
Allegrina has been an extremely active volunteer for UM-Dearborn, serving in numerous capacities for the CASL alumni affiliate's board of governors for the past 15 years and as a member of the CASL Dean's Search Committee. As an alumni ambassador, Allegrina assists with student recruitment during the campus Open House, and serves as a Call Night volunteer for "admitted but not enrolled" freshmen. He also has served on committees awarding Alumni Society Legacy Scholarships and CASL Alumni Affiliate Scholarships to academically talented students.
