UM-Dearborn's Child Development Center will showcase its kindergarten program during an open house Feb. 6

DEARBORN / Jan. 19, 2007---The University of Michigan-Dearbornís Early Learning and Child Development Center will host an open house from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6 in the kindergarten module, reached via the campusís Fair Lane Drive west of Evergreen Road.

The open house is an opportunity for parents to learn about the centerís kindergarten program, and will include a classroom tour, teacher presentation and a question-and-answer session.

The UM-Dearborn center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The kindergarten is accepting applications for Fall 2007, and is open to children who will be 5 years old by December 1, 2007. The center offers a full- and half-day developmentally appropriate kindergarten program from September through June. The program offers active learning in a stimulating environment with an excellent teacher/child ratio.
