As vice chancellor of Institutional Advancement (IA), Mallory provides a wealth of development leadership and strategic philanthropy experience to UM-Dearborn. Before becoming vice chancellor of IA, she served as associate vice president and chief development officer at Northern Illinois University (NIU), where she was also president and CEO of the NIU Foundation. In 14 years at NIU Mallory built a comprehensive development program, transformed a foundation board into a strong group of philanthropic leaders, directed a successful $150 million capital campaign and established a track record of working with faculty and deans to generate gifts to further teaching and research. Prior to NIU, Mallory was the senior director of development for major gifts at Syracuse University. In this role, she directed staff efforts during a $300 million campaign and led a strategic planning process to create a vision and establish program objectives and standards. In addition, she spent more than 15 years working in alumni relations, development leadership and corporate and foundation relations for University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
As the senior director of development for Programs and Campaign Operations, Kevin works with the development team, faculty and volunteers to build a comprehensive fundraising strategy and a stewardship program that recognizes the generosity of the alumni and friends who make UM-Dearborn so successful. With over 25 years’ experience in the nonprofit field, he has served as Wayne State University’s director of development, responsible for the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, the deputy executive director of the Triangle Foundation, a Michigan anti-violence and advocacy organization and the manager of a government ambulance authority. Over his career, Kevin has raised over $30 million dollars to support higher education and community causes. Kevin is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a state licensed paramedic and an EMS instructor.
As the director of development for the College of Engineering & Computer Science (CECS), Andrea works closely with the university and Interim Dean Tony England, faculty, staff and volunteers on alumni and community relations, securing strategic resources and major and planned gifts. Andrea is a UM-Dearborn alumna and has been a champion of UM-Dearborn as the chair of our Alumni Society Board. She has extensive experience in development work most recently at Wayne State University's College of Engineering as a senior major gift officer and prior to that as regional director of development for the American Red Cross, Southeastern Michigan Chapter, where she successfully rebuilt their foundation relations program. Before returning to Michigan, Andrea worked in development at both DePaul University and Lewis University. She has been active with AFP and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
As the director of development for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters (CASL), Diane works closely with the CASL dean, faculty, staff and administrators on alumni outreach and major and planned gift cultivation. Currently, she serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter and an honorary board member of the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Downriver. Diane joined the development team at UM-Dearborn in 2007 after working for 18 years in development and nonprofit management in Indiana, Colorado, California, and Michigan. Her extensive career includes directing programs for large and small nonprofits in health/human services and higher education. Diane is also a graduate of the Inforum Center for Executive Leadership Program and the Advanced Leadership Seminar through UM Ann Arbor's Center for the Education of Women. She is currently working on a Master's in Public Administration at UM-Dearborn.
As the Senior Foundation and Corporate Giving Officer, Ann is responsible for development of high-impact foundation, corporate and government grant-seeking strategies that advance UM-Dearborn’s metropolitan vision. Working in collaboration with faculty and other colleagues across all three campuses, as well as with community leaders, she also assists the UM-Dearborn Business Engagement Center (BEC) in becoming a vital resource for our region’s economic transformation. Ann has more than 25 years of experience in a range of private and public sector organizations including human service, arts and culture, law, environmental conservation, faith-based, social/criminal justice, community organizing, youth development and education. Ann served in a similar role at the Detroit Institute of Arts, raising $23 million towards the museum’s most recent capital campaign goal. A life-long civil rights advocate, she has assumed leadership positions within many non-profit groups at the local and national level.
