  • Ranked 7th best master's-level public university in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. This marks the 12th consecutive year the university was rated as one of the region's best (2015)
  • College of Engineering and Computer Science rated among the top undergraduate engineering programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report for the 17th consecutive year (2015)
  • College of Business named a "Best Business School" for the sixth consecutive year in Princeton Review's 296 Best Business Schools (2015)
  • Ranked as a "Best Bank for the Buck" university by Washington Monthly (2015)
  • College of Business ranked as one of Michigan's top undergraduate business programs by U.S. News & World Report for the fifth consecutive year (2014)

Accreditations

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. Many of our programs have earned specialized accreditations through program-specific governing bodies, including:

  • Chemistry (American Chemical Society)
  • College of Business (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, 1 of only 655 schools worldwide to be accredited)
  • Computer and Information Science (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
  • Computer and Software Engineering (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
  • Education (programs authorized by the State of Michigan's Department of Education and, for the Early Childhood Education Center, by the National Association for the Education of Young Children)
