University Unions and Events is Your Meetings and Events Provider at University of Michigan-Dearborn. ​​​​​We strive to meet your every requirement so that you may present a successful meeting, whether that be a conference, workshop, presentation, or special event. 

UM-Dearborn offers the unique experience of hosting a professional meeting or event on our beautiful campus. We offer a vibrancy that creates a lasting impression. The campus is centrally located and has ample parking for guests to the university.

Our seasoned professional team boasts decades of event experience and is eager to work with you to create the event you desire. We are here for you through each step of the process. 

We are proud to serve the community, students, staff, and faculty by providing hospitality in our well-appointed spaces, those being primarily in the James C. Renick University Center (RUC) and the Fairlane Center. Our team is available to coordinate the rental of outdoor spaces which include the RUC Patio and the Fairlane Center Courtyard, as they are featured spaces on our campus. We are your first point of contact when academic space or Fieldhouse space is being requested for your upcoming presentations or events. 

The university is so pleased to have the Henry Ford Estate, the home of Clara and Henry Ford, as our neighbor.  Although we do not schedule or reserve that space, we are happy to make that connection on your behalf or you may reach out directly for inquiries.

RESERVATION UPDATE SUMMER-FALL 2024

The Renick University Center will start an exciting renovation of the first floor of the RUC starting March 2024, tentatively  through December 2024 . This significant project will renovate the East side of the RUC facing the parking lots. While the event spaces in the RUC are not planned as part of this renovation, it is likely there will be disruptive construction noise during the project. Please keep this in mind if you are looking to book Kochoff Hall, RUC 1225, RUC 1227 for May through December 2024.

Due to needed office relocations, this project will also reduce programming space in the RUC Dining Area & Lounge/Atrium, and hallways on the first floor. 

Events spaces in Fairlane North will also be unavailable during Summer 2024.  Spaces will reopen for the Fall 2024 semester.
