High schoolers will "Discover Dearborn"
DEARBORN---High school juniors and seniors will "Discover Dearborn" at the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, March 22. The recruitment event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Building, which is located on the south end of campus, between the Fieldhouse and the soon-to-be remodeled University Center.
"Discover Dearborn is a unique opportunity for students and parents to experience the quality of instruction on our campus," according to David Placey, director of admissions and orientation.
Prospective students will attend class sessions presented by UM-Dearborn faculty, meet with admissions counselors and ask questions of current students during a panel discussion. UM-Dearborn students will provide the "inside scoop" on topics like academics, professors, extracurricular activities and campus life.
In the morning, students and their parents will attend classes. Afternoon sessions will offer students and parents the opportunity to attend sessions on admissions, financial aid, career services, athletics, recreation and wellness.
