Child Development Center to host singing twins

DEARBORN---The Child Development Center (CDC) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn will host an hour-long concert for children by the musical duo "Gemini" at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 in Lecture Hall B of the campus's Social Sciences Building (formerly School of Management Building).

The show, which is sponsored by the UM-Dearborn Office of the Provost, will kick off the Center's Month of the Young Child activities.

The concert is free and open to the public, though attendees may donate new toddler sleepers (0-24 months) at the door. Donations will be given to Child's Hope, a child abuse prevention organization.

Vendor tables and refreshments will be available an hour before the concert.

Gemini is made up of twin brothers Sandor and Laszlo Slomovits. They've been playing music together for 31 years. The duo performs a family concert containing sing-alongs, hand-motion tunes, folk tales and tunes from around the world.

Based in Ann Arbor, Gemini has performed at concert halls, festivals, community centers and elementary schools throughout the United States and Canada. They also have performed with symphony orchestras, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Kansas City Symphony.
