Campus Open House is Sunday, Oct. 2
DEARBORN---The University of Michigan-Dearborn will roll out a welcome
mat to the community during its annual Campus
Open House from noon to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.
Prospective students, along with family and friends, will have an opportunity
to meet with faculty, staff, students and alumni. Members of the campus
community will provide information on undergraduate and graduate programs,
admissions procedures, financial aid, and co-op and internship opportunities.
The event will offer refreshments and walking tours of campus. Representatives
of UM-Dearborn student organizations will answer questions about campus
activities and student life.
"At the University of Michigan-Dearborn, we believe that the college
selection process should involve the whole family," said Stanley
Henderson, vice chancellor for enrollment management and student life.
"Our Open House is designed to give students and their families a
way to see the whole range of opportunities available at UM-Dearborn--all
at once, all in one place. The involvement of our faculty, staff, and
students shows our future students what our community is all about here
The College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Building will serve as the
registration site at noon. On-site admissions will take place from noon
to 3:30 p.m. in the Admissions Office, Room 1145 of the University Center.
Representatives from other campus departments will showcase their services
at the event during a browsing fair in the University Center.
UM-Dearborn offers undergraduate and professional degrees in the liberal
arts and sciences, engineering, management, education and public administration.
UM-Dearborn is located at 4901 Evergreen Road, between Ford Road and Michigan Avenue. Prospective students who cannot attend the Open House should call the Office of Admissions and Orientation at (313) 593-5100 to arrange a tour or speak with a counselor.
