Biography and Education

About:  Working at US Army TARDEC for last 13 years, at US ARMY TACOM for previous 12.  Primarily involved in computer simulations, from setup of computers to use of models.  Also ran a small R&D network for three years as Network Manager.  Currently in TARDEC’s Analytics department working on Modeling and Simulation of Cyber Physical Systems, with an emphasis on the Information Theoretic aspects, or, what information is needed to make rational decisions under uncertainty.  Areas of current research include:  POMDPs ( Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes ), Bayesian Networks, Probabilistic Graphical Models, and Cognitive AI architectures such as SOAR, ACT-R, and Sigma.
