Biography and Education

Ta-Wei (Daniel) Kao, PhD., Assistant Professor in Operations Management at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Dr.Kao received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr.Kao joined the faculty in 2016 and his teaching interests include operations management, supply chain management, and business logistics.

Research

Dr.Kao’s research interests include supply chain management, social network analysis, and econometric analysis. His academic works have appeared in European Journal of Operational Research, Decision Support Systems, and Computers in Human Behavior.

He received a Best Interdisciplinary Paper Award at the Decision Science Institute Annual Meeting (2013) and an Honorable Mention for the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting (2015).
