In its seventh year, the W.O.W. trip continues to grow and provide an unforgettable adventure for incoming students.
This four-day, three-night adventure will include transportation to/from the site, lodging, all meals, and unlimited opportunities to have fun through team and leadership building opportunities. In addition to a fun experience, this adventure will also engage you in active discussion with your peers and group leaders. The objectives of the W.O.W. trip are to not only create instant bonds between fellow classmates, faculty and staff at the University, but to remove you from your comfortable environment to challenge you in ways that will help better prepare you for college life.
By connecting with other incoming students, current students, and University faculty and staff, you will have the opportunity to share your hopes and fears about starting college around the campfire. Learn first-hand from faculty, staff and current students a skill set that will prove invaluable during your college experience. Attend W.O.W., make life long memories, and gain skills and friendships that will endure long after you earn your Michigan degree.
The trip will be chaperoned by UM-Dearborn staff members from the Orientation and Enrollment Management and Student Life departments. Current student counselors and professional facilitators will also participate with you in this adventure.
