Reminder - Think BIG! (August 3, 2020)

Dear Colleagues,

Over the last week we have received many thoughtful submissions responding to my request for ideas about the new investment funds to support student recruitment, retention and graduation. I am writing today to remind you that there is still time to submit your ideas. This is your chance to help shape our strategic plan as we move into its final stages.

This opportunity will help to launch many of the recommendations developed during the strategic planning process, ensuring our students succeed while also creating a more welcoming, diverse, equitable and inclusive campus. 

Please submit your ideas regarding meaningful, measurable and sustainable impact on student success, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. 

It is important that you also share ideas and suggestions for sustainability so your ideas can continue to support students well into the future. Remember, these are one-time funds.

I want to ensure that our community has had the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas as we finalize the university’s strategic plan. As a refresher for the plan’s guiding principles, please visit this website. 

This exciting investment in our campus provides us with a unique moment to implement strategic initiatives more quickly than would have otherwise been possible. 

All ideas are welcomed and remember to think big! Ideas are encouraged anytime but we are asking for your submissions by August 14, when we will start the process of evaluation.
