The University of Michigan-Dearborn is proud to recognize our Honors Scholars. For the past thirty-nine years, the University has celebrated the achievements of both undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled academically. The Honors Scholars ceremony ranks among important celebrations of student achievement during the academic year.

The 2021 Honors Scholars awards have been presented to one undergraduate student in each degree program with at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and a minimum of 90 credit hours earned by the end of fall 2020. Awards were also presented to one graduate student in each degree major, with at least a 3.7 cumulative GPA and a minimum of three-quarters of their program completed by the end of fall 2020. These students, selected by their discipline's faculty, also meet other criteria established by the department, school, or college, including contributions to the discipline through research and service such as tutoring, mentoring, and leadership in discipline-based student organizations.

Despite not being able to recognize our 2020 and 2021 Honors Scholars with the traditional in-person convocation, we commend each of our Honors Scholars on their academic excellence and wish them the very best!

On March 23, 2021, the Office of the Provost hosted virtual ceremonies for this year's Honors Scholars.
