Catherine A. Davy is the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Catherine A. (Kate) Davy earned her B.A. degree at Clarke College in speech and drama, and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in drama and performance studies at New York University.

Professor Davy has had an extraordinary career as an educator, scholar, and administrator. She has published widely in theater, performance, and feminist critical theory. She is the author of three books, numerous book chapters and scholarly articles.

As a visiting scholar she taught an interdisciplinary Ph.D. seminar at Northwestern University and a graduate MFA seminar at Yale University.

As an experienced academic leader, Provost Davy brings passion, commitment, and an innovative approach to her work in administration. Throughout her career, she has built strong, collaborative teams to accomplish significant achievements and strengthen academic programs. She has been a highly successful fundraiser for academic initiatives and facilities.

Provost Davy is the recipient of the Leader of Change Award from the Network for Change and Continuous Innovation in Higher Education.
