A limited number of faculty and staff have access to an email list that includes all faculty and staff currently employed at the university.  Faculty and staff cannot opt into or out of this list.  Supervisors make the determination regarding who can send to this email list.  Information that should be communicated to campus should have a direct impact on a large percentage of faculty and staff.  Examples include:

  • Campus closures
  • Closure of a building, parking lot/facility, etc.
  • Campus maintenance disruptions
  • Announcement of key staff hires (director level or above)
  • Changes to campus policies
  • Human resources related information
  • Campus deadlines (grant submittals, etc.)
