UM-Dearborn Technology 101
Join this session to discover the array of technology applications available to help you work smarter, not harder. We’ll walk through CANVAS, our learning management system, so you can start classes off right. The most frequently asked tech questions from new students to the ITS help desk will also be covered: from use of on-campus tech options to using the Google Suite of Applications.
What I Wish I Had Known: How to Get the Most Out of Class
Come talk with upper-class students about what they wish they had known in their first year. Getting A's and getting started on your career sometimes takes more than just going to class and taking notes. Join us for information on campus resources that will help you ace your courses -- supplemental instruction, office hours, tutors, mentors, and Canvas. Gain strategies to help you use your classes as a launchpad for your career and how to connect with professors, network with peers, and learn about on-and-off-campus activities and opportunities.
Wise and Well: Simple Tips for Beating Procrastination and Stress
This program will introduce students to several methods of managing the multiple transitions and stressors that accompany these changes. Tips and tricks will be given on how to navigate daily stress and time management using a wellness approach shown to help with student success!
