Presentation Summary: UM-Dearborn alumna Jasmine Rostkowski, '15 B.B.A., shares her past experiences of competing in the Business Idea Pitch Competition hosted by the College of Business's iLabs.  She discusses how this special program prepared her for success and why students should participate in these unique opportunities.  This discussion is moderated by iLabs project manager and UM-Dearborn alumna Kari Kowalski, '16 B.B.A.

Speaker's Bio:

Jasmine RostkowskiJasmine Rostkowski is a 2015 University of Michigan-Dearborn graduate who received her degree from the College of Business in Digital Marketing. During her time at the University of Michigan-Dearborn she participated in the Elliot Business Pitch Competition in 2013 and 2014 and won awards both times for her ideas My PSA (personal shopping assistant) and DIneRoll. Pitching in this competition led to her participating in Startup Weekend, doing three business accelerator programs at TechTown in Detroit, and building a startup team with investors. Currently, Jasmine works at Sincro as an Analytics & Insights Manager pursuing her passion for data. During her free time she likes spending time with family and friends, walking her dogs, traveling, and doing epoxy projects.

Moderator's Bio:

Kari KowalskiKari Kowalski graduated from the College of Business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2016 with a BBA in marketing. Since 2017, she has held the position as iLabs project manager. Her background is in project management and market research.
