OMI promotes the University's Mission by forging mutually beneficial partnerships.

The mission of the Office of Metropolitan Impact is to further develop the volume, value, and impact of mutually beneficial community partnerships for research, teaching, learning, and service and to enhance aspects of the Chancellor’s Metropolitan Vision as defining dimensions of University of Michigan-Dearborn.

  • Save the date for the 4th annual Engagement DayEngagement Day is January 18, 2018, from 12 PM-4 PM.  It is UM-Dearborn's chance for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners to show off the many ways they have engaged in collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with corporations, community organizations, and local government agencies over the past few years.  All presentation slots for Engagement Day are currently filled.   • OMI's Assistant Director, Molly Manley, is serving on the 2017-2018 Metro Read Commission.  The Metro Read is a campus initiative utilizing high impact practices in which students come together through a common campus read.  The book chosen for Fall 2017 is Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation, by Eboo Patel.
