It’s an exciting time to be at University of Michigan-Dearborn.

The Union at Dearborn, a collaborative effort between UM-Dearborn and Urban Campus Communities, is independently operated and features fully furnished apartments and a wide range of meeting and gathering spaces for our community.

UM-Dearborn ushered in a new era in student life September 1, 2013 as more than 400 students moved into The Union at Dearborn. The privately owned complex is the first housing option specifically designed for UM-Dearborn students in more than 25 years.

The Victors' Den

The Victors’ Den is a vibrant commons appointed with casual seating, pool and ping-pong tables, is also a great gathering space for meeting and event attendees before or after the event. Rooms include a spacious, black-box style theater, two meeting rooms and several small breakout/study rooms.

UM-Dearborn also leased 15,000 square feet within the facility for student life activities including the Victors’ Den. This area includes informal gathering spaces, meeting and study rooms, a performance-style theater and several student life offices.

The House of Maize and Blue

The Union at Dearborn is also the home to the House of Maize and Blue. The House of Maize and Blue is a 120-seat single-level theater whose room set can be changed to meet the purpose of the function being held there. This room, along with complimentary meeting and breakout rooms here, are wonderful location for functions centrally located among our three campuses.
