Enjoy the following Q&A with Brandon Wulf, Business Administrator Senior, CASL Dean's Office.

Name:  Brandon Wulf
Position:  Business Administrator Senior
Years at UM-Dearborn: 7 months

What does a typical workday look like for you?

My typical day involves work with the financial, personnel, and administrative functions across the college. I try to have a rough plan for what I need to tackle for the day but often that plan gets altered to address items that come up and need more immediate attention. Most days involve emails and meetings with people. When I am in the office, I try to stop by a few people’s offices to say hello and sometimes bother them with a question or two.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the variety of work I get to do and helping CASL faculty and staff.

What was your first job?

I was a dish washer at a golf course restaurant and banquet center. It was hard work, but I got free meals when I worked and discounted golf games.

What do you do to relax?

Read a book, watch TV, build LEOG sets, or walk my dogs. Though when the squirrels are out in full force, the dog walking is not a relaxing experience.

If you could have any one skill or talent that you don’t already have, what would it be?

Play the piano or the cello.

What’s the proudest moment of your life?

Though it was a long time ago, one of the proudest moments of my life was earning my Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts in high school. It shaped who I am and provided me skills that contributed to my future professional successes.

If we were to create a UM-Dearborn playlist, what song would you want to include?

Here Comes the Sun, by the Beatles.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I originally went to college for vocal music education. I changed majors but I do still sing in a choir.
