Accelerated MPP (AMPP)

How Does the AMPP Work?

The accelerated MPP is designed for high performing UM-Dearborn economics or political science majors who want to earn their Masterís degree in as little as one year after their BA.

The traditional MPP at UM-Dearborn typically involves two years of post-BA courses. Both AMPP degrees offer you the chance to cut that time to one year by enabling undergraduates in their junior or senior year to enroll in up to 5 graduate courses that can apply towards both your BA in Economics or Political Science and the MPP.

We also waive one of the core MPP courses, so once you earn your BA, you have as little as 24 credits of graduate courses left to complete the MPP.

The key to earning the AMPP is taking five undergraduate economics or political science electives at the graduate level during your junior/senior year. Click these links for further information on the
