Planning for Tomorrow, Today

The term sustainability is most commonly used in reference to strategies or practices that satisfy the present needs of society without compromising the needs of future generations to satisfy their own needs. The Environmental Interpretive Center is committed to promoting healthy and sustainable societies. Hence, the environmental impacts of all of our operations are constantly evaluated and scrutinized. Our goal is to be a model facility for sustainable living, so we try to connect the concept of sustainability to all of our educational programs and demonstration projects in the building itself and in the surrounding Environmental Study Area.
