Recent faculty awards and publications.

Josh Akers (geography and urban & regional studies) shared his expert insights regarding bulk home sales/property rights in the region recently in two articles:

Nick Iannarino (communication) published a news article with The Conversation about how the new movie "The Farewell" can serve as a jumping off point for families to have conversations about death and dying: "The Farewell" highlights tough conversations families face when confronted with death.

Jane Sheldon (psychology) retired from active faculty status on April 30, 2019. The Regents recently approved her retirement memoir and named her professor emerita of psychology.

David Susko (biology and EIC director) and EIC Sustainability Intern Kaitlyn Tatro received a $25,000 Ford College Community Challenge grant to fund their project, "PolliNation." This exciting project will help UM-Dearborn campus work toward the Bee Campus USA certification and will involve students in designing and building insect hotels to house pollinators.
