Tim is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Applied Statistics and hopes to go on to receive a graduate degree in statistics while studying abroad in Germany. He enjoys helping his peers flesh out the ideas behind their papers and build compelling arguments. He can help you take your paper to infinity and beyond!
Ayah is pursuing an English degree at UM-Dearborn with a concentration in Creative Writing. She is interested in poetry, short stories, and all forms of art. Ayah has great experience with helping others and assisting in writing/essays. She is looking forward to working with you in all aspects of your work.
Abby is double majoring in Behavioral Sciences and Criminal Justice. She enjoys working with creative writing since she is writing a book of her own. Outside of the Writing Center, she spends most of her time taking care of her new puppy and being an active member of Phi Mu.
Sarah is majoring in English and minoring in Environmental Studies and Economics. She has a particular knack for navigating MLA style. When not in the Writing Center, she is working on events for ECO Club, studying, or spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to working with you.
Heidi is a pre-med student double majoring in Philosophy and Biology at UM-Dearborn. She enjoys working with students of all background interests and exploring connections between the liberal arts and natural sciences. She is also in the Honor’s Program and is the President of PAN, an environmental club that stands for and explores philosophy and nature.
Bobby is triple majoring in Psychology, Criminal Justice Studies, and Behavioral Sciences. His main writing interests are in academic and research writing, idea development, APA formatting, and organization. On campus, he’s involved in the Psychology Students Association and the Criminology and Criminal Justice Collective. In his free time, Bobby likes to watch horror films and play video games.
Dani is a Communications major, double minoring in Applied Art and Art History. She enjoys working on argumentative and creative papers, as well as citations and punctuation. Outside of the Writing Center, Dani is involved in the Honors College, the Opportunity Scholars Program, and the Student Activities Board on campus.
Aaron is an Economics and Political Science double major. He is passionate about writing and teaching, having worked at different writing centers throughout his collegiate career, including two years at Monroe County Community College's Writing Center and three years at UM-Dearborn. When not at the writing center, he enjoys reading and watching football. Go Blue!
Hanan is a pre-medical student majoring in Biochemistry and Philosophy, with a minor in Applied Art. She loves teaching and particularly enjoys working on academic and research writing, especially philosophy papers, and helping students with grammar, punctuation, and cultivating their ideas and arguments. In her spare time, she likes to read, paint portraits, and spend time with family.
Gabi is a student in the Honors Program at UM-Dearborn, currently working on a Philosophy major and a Psychology minor. In her spare time, she can be found tending houseplants, spending time outdoors, or drafting her fantasy novel. While she enjoys creative writing, she can also offer advice on essays and other forms of academic writing.
Katelin is pursuing a double major in English and General Business, is part of the Honor's program, and is working towards a Writing Certificate at UM-Dearborn. She particularly enjoys working with students on their organization and brainstorming. When she's not working or studying, she's writing, drawing, or trying to catch up on her reading list with a new book.
Alyssa Van Scoy
Alyssa is double majoring in Finance and Accounting. She particularly loves working with others on grammar, specifically commas, and organization. She enjoys being part of the softball team at UM-Dearborn.
Ellie is pursuing a degree in English at UM-Dearborn. She is passionate about teaching and writing and plans to teach English as a Second Language after she graduates. She enjoys working on every part of the writing process, especially organization and building arguments. She is looking forward to working with you!
