What is the Soul of Success/AAAS Retreat?

The Soul of Success (SOS) Retreat was created to provide four things for those students who attend the FREE two-day weekend event:

  • Motivation to identify and successfully complete their educational journey.
  • Professional development, career planning, and graduate school information.
  • Exposure to academic, community and cultural resources, institutions, and individuals in metropolitan Detroit.
  • Opportunities to connect with AAAS faculty, other UM-Dearborn staff, and other students.

 

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES:

  • Students wishing to attend the retreat must complete and submit all required information on the online SOS RETREAT REGISTRATION
  • Deadline to register is Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10:00 p.m.
  • All undergraduate students at UM-Dearborn are eligible. However, there is limited space for the Friday, March 17th event.
  • Those students who have been confirmed to participate in Soul of Success Retreat will be contacted by email or telephone.  Please make sure that you provide a cell phone or other telephone number where you can be contacted during business hours. Notification of selection will be made by March 14.
  • Confirmed students must RSVP to retain their spot during the retreat special event from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18.
  • All meals are covered for Saturday. There is no cost to students for the retreat.
