CIS faculty received professional honors and recognition

Three CIS faculty members received professional honors and recognition.

Dr. Birhanu Eshete, Assistant Professor of CIS, and his co-authors won the Distinguished Paper Award from the 27th USENIX Security (2018). This paper also won the honor of Applied Research Competition Finalist (US-Canada) of the 2018 Cyber Security Awareness Worldwide (CSAW'18) organized by NYU. 

Dr. Marouane Kessentini, Associate Professor of CIS, and his co-authors won the Best Paper Award from the 9th Brazilian Workshop on Search-Based Software Engineering (2018).

Dr. Qiang Zhu, Professor of CIS, and his co-authors won the honor of Best Paper Finalist from the 27th International Conference on Software Engineering and Data Engineering (2018).

In addition, Dr. Marouane Kessentini was selected to serve as General Chair to organize the 36th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE'2021) here in Michigan in 2021.
