CIS hosts visitors from the National Institute for Informatics in Japan
Dr. Emmanuel Planas and Dr. Henri Angelino from the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan visited the CIS Department to discuss the continuing collaboration with CIS faculty.
Dr. Emmanuel Planas and Dr. Henri Angelino, the current and former Directors of the Global Liaison Office (GLO) at the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan, visited the CIS Department to discuss the continuing collaboration with CIS faculty on September 10, 2019. NII is the Inter-University Research Institute for advanced Computer Science research situated in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. The GLO offers exchange opportunities at NII for outstanding masters, Ph.D students, Post-Docs, junior and senior researchers in many fields of Computer Sciences. NII has sponsored CIS faculty and students for joint research in past years. During this one-day joint seminar/meeting in CIS, Drs. Planas and Angelino introduced various research collaboration programs at NII, and 9 CIS and 1 ECE faculty members presented their research projects.
