CIS Ph.D. student accepted a faculty position at a top university

Rafi Almhana, a Ph.D. student in the CIS Department, will join the faculty in software engineering of Department of Computer Science at University of Chicago

Rafi Almhana, a Ph.D. student in the CIS Department, accepted a faculty position as an assistant professor in software engineering of Department of Computer Science at University of Chicago. Rafi has pursued his Ph.D. study under the supervision of Dr. Marouane Kessentini in the Intelligent Software Engineering Research Lab from the Computer and Information Science Department at University of Michigan - Dearborn since Winter 2018. He also received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in 2017 and 2015, respectively, from the CIS Department. His Ph.D. dissertation research is on intelligent software bugs localization, triage and prioritization. He published papers in top venues including ASE and IST in software engineering and received multiple distinguished honors including Honor Scholar Award for PhD-CIS (2021).
