Dual BS in Computer and Information Science & Cybersecurity and Information Assurance

There is an increasing demand for both the BS in Computer and Information Science (BS-CIS) and the BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (BS-CIA). This CIS and CIA dual degree program enables students to earn two degrees, i.e., BS-CIS and BS-CIA, at the same time.

Curriculum Requirements

A student in the CIS and CIA dual degree program must enter the Information Systems (INSY) concentration of the BS-CIS and the Cybersecurity & Privacy (CP) or Digital Forensics (DF) concentration of the BS-CIA. The program requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of additional coursework beyond the 120 credits required for the BS-CIS alone (i.e., a minimum of 15 credit hours of additional coursework beyond the 123 credits required for the BS-CIA alone).

Please note that beginning in Fall 2015, all freshmen must follow the Dearborn Discovery Core (DDC) requirements.

Curriculum requirement sheets and sample course sequences are available through the Office of Advising and Academic Success:
