Building "STEM-capability" in students, educators, and the community of Southeast Michigan.

The Office of Extended Learning and Outreach seeks to enhance the mission of the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the College of Engineering and Computer Science by developing and preparing K12 students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders that will contribute to a global society.

STEM-capable students, educators, and the community develop a core foundation with and across STEM disciplines so that they can be active and engaged in a society that is scientifically and technologically rich, complex, and dynamic.

CECS K12 Outreach Programs seek to engage K12 students, educators, and the community with a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities and professional development opportunities through programs and events; strategic, collaborative partnerships; and volunteer and mentor training.
