In partnership with the City of Westland and the UM--Dearborn Golf Team, Extended Learning and Outreach is offering Girls, Golf and Gadgets (G3), an eight day summer STEM program for 7th - 10th grade students in the Wayne, Westland and Inkster communities. Mornings will be spent with UM-Dearborn faculty member Dr. Brahim Medjahed and his team learning computational thinking by designing a mobile app at the Learning Lab at the Jefferson-Barns Community Vitality Center. Participants will be transported to the Westland Municipal Golf Course for the afternoon to enjoy a healthy lunch and then learn basic golf skills and etiquette from UM-Dearborn golf coach Kelly Kuhlman and her team of student - athletes.

UM-Dearborn is grateful to the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan for generous support of the Girls, Golf and Gadgets program offered in partnership with the City of Westland.
