CECS game design and software engineering programs ranked among best in the nation
The CECS undergraduate degree in game design ranked #45 by the Princeton Review and the undergraduate degree in software engineering ranked #20 by Best Computer Science Schools.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) has one of the country's top bachelor's programs in game design and software engineering.
The Princeton Review ranked the bachelor of science in game design #45 in its annual review, published in PC Gamer's March 2018 issue. The ranking was based on a survey of 150 institutions in the United States, Canada, and selected countries abroad. Schools were graded on "the quality of the faculty, facilities, and technology" as well as curriculum and career services.
Best Computer Science Schools ranked the college's bachelor of science in software engineering #20 in the country. What makes for a successful software engineering program? One that "that emphasizes project-based learning, internship or cooperative opportunities, and team-based activities will be the best possible choice for an undergraduate degree."
