ECE graduate student wins first prize for poster at NYIT's 8th Annual Cybersecurity Conference

Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate student Muhammad Tayyab won first prize for his poster in the graduate student category. 

The prize-winning poster was titled "Linking Received Packet to the Transmitter through Physical-Fingerprinting of Controller Area Network". Tayyab completed the work as a research assistant to Associate Professor Hafiz Malik, with contributions from fellow students Omid Avatefipour and Azeem Hafeez. 

The poster was presented as part of the Student Poster Session held by NYIT's Eight Annual Cybersecurity Conference in New York City. The conference covers topics on current cybersecurity-related issues including cyber theft, cyber-attacks, data security, and strengthening the cybersecurity talent pipeline.
