Serves only North Oakland County. This is a grant supported, non-profit agency that helps people with paying bills, finding jobs, food and prescriptions. To qualify, individuals need evidence of low income, driver’s license or picture ID, have not used the services of the Lighthouse within the previous year. People can apply for financial assistance for paying utility bills, receive food once per month (canned food or boxed food), have prescriptions paid for once per year, have their first months rent and/or security deposit paid. They also have a job program to teach people how to write a resume, interview, and find area jobs.
