Beta Alpha Psi Awarded Superior Status 2019-2020

This is the 13th consecutive year the College of Business' chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has received this distinguished recognition.

The College of Business' chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), an international honors organization for students and professionals in the fields of accounting, finance, and information systems, was awarded superior status for its performance in the 2019-2020 academic year. This recognition is given to chapters that exceed the baseline requirements of BAP and have excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership. 

During the 2019-2020 academic year, the College’s Kappa Sigma chapter hosted 15 professional development events and brought 12 different employers to campus. In addition, the student members logged over 320 hours of community service, including partnering with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy to elementary school students; working with Gleaners to pack boxes during the holiday season; staffing the Polar Plunge fundraiser for the Special Olympics; and helping to maintain the 300+ acre Environmental Study Area on the University of Michigan-Dearborn's campus.
