College of Business Alumnus Recognized for Volunteer Efforts
College of Business alumnus, Ahmad Rahal, was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals during National Philanthropy Day.
College of Business Alumnus, Ahmad Rahal, received the Distinguished Volunteer award on November 8, 2018 at the 27th annual National Philanthropy Day. National Philanthropy Day is the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Detroit Chapter's premier event, to celebrate and honor the passion, commitment and leadership of Southeastern Michigan's philanthropists, distinguished volunteers and those in the fundraising profession. Congratulations to Ahmad for this recognition.
Ahmad graduated from the College of Business (COB) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2012. His commitment to volunteering began as a student, but didn't end when he graduated from UM-Dearborn. Ahmad has served on the College of Business Alumni Affiliate since the Fall of 2016. As an Affiliate member he has mentored students, lead meetings, and planned events for alumni, students, faculty and staff. His passion to advance the mission of the College of Business grows as he now serves as the Vice Chair of the Alumni Affiliate. In addition, he has volunteered to Chair the College of Business Wine Tasting and Silent Auction event, which raises money to support COB student organizations.
