Remembering Professor Emeritus Richard Czarnecki

July 18, 2018

Professor Emeritus Richard Czarnecki, who taught at the College of Business from 1968-1997, passed away on July 15.

Professor Emeritus Richard Czarnecki passed away this past Sunday. Dick was a beloved and deeply respected faculty member in College of Business from 1968-1997. He was well known for his excellence as a teacher and was honored an unprecedented four times with the AICPA Educator of the Year award.

Many of our alums attribute their career success to him, and it was primarily through their efforts that we not only have the Czarnecki Endowed Collegiate Professorship in the College of Business, but also a strong Richard Czarnecki scholarship endowment fund that supports numerous students each year. Dick will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
