University of Michigan-Dearborn Faculty Rank Highly for Supply Chain Management Research
Our Supply Chain Management faculty rank #3 in Michigan, #33 in the US and #53 in the world for empirical research.
College of Business Supply Chain Management faculty have consistently published their research in the world's top academic journals. According to the 2020 Supply Chain Management Journal List, they rank #3 in Michigan, #33 in the US and #53 worldwide in empirical publications over the five-year period of 2015-2019.
“This ranking speaks volumes to the quality of the research output among our faculty involved in research related to Supply Chain Management and Operations Management. Over the last decade, their ranking has increased year over year -- and, in fact, is up by more than 160 places in the world-wide ranking for empirical research compared to just five years ago,” said Raju Balakrishnan, dean of the College of Business. "This truly remarkable advancement speaks not only to their efforts in research, but is representative of everything our faculty are doing to maintain our position as a top business school in the US and the world."
The SCM Journal List ranking of empirical research is based on scholarly output in journals that are primarily empirically-focused. These include the Journal of Supply Chain Management, the Journal of Operations Management, the Journal of Business Logistics, and the Decision Sciences Journal.
